Congresswoman McKinney of Georgia called for a thorough investigation of the events of 9-11, and most of the other spineless congresspeople have gone into a feeding frenzy to make an example out of her of what happens to people who deviate from the party line.

Georgia senator Zell Miller went on record calling her statements "looney," "irresponsible" and made a comment about McKinney leaning out when Bush walks by to give a televised address hoping the camera will catch Bush kissing her. Really elevated rhetoric from a U.S. Senator.

Below is my letter to Zell Miller:

Dear Senator,

Your comments about Congresswoman McKinney are petty and vulgar. Why isn't every congressperson demanding an inquiry into the most savage attacks upon Americans ever? What are you all afraid of? How can any "War on Terrorism" be taken seriously if it does not have a thorough investigation of the attacks as its cornerstone?

Congresswoman McKinney is just standing up for the little people in the country who need to know what happened that day in order to get some assurance that proper steps will be taken to prevent such a catastrophe in the future. How can you possibly justify not going forward with a thorough investigation? I'm afraid most congresspeople have forgotten the voters and think only of their wealthy corporate donors.

Why attack Congresswoman McKinney? She is obviously not the issue here. A feeding frenzy on her will no doubt ensue, making her an example for anyone else who may believe that no event ever demanded an investigation as much as this one. But you and others who participate are only ignoring the real issues. If the more extreme aspects of her statement are really "looney," then an investigation will demonstrate that. If there is no investigation, you are only fanning the flames of suspicion and anxiety.

Why don't you stand up and demand an investigation too, to clear the air of any charges that are baseless?
